Water quality can vary depending on filter condition, membrane performance, storage hygiene, and source water composition even after purification, necessitating regular testing. Physical testing evaluates pH, turbidity, colour, odour, and conductivity to assess filtration efficiency. Chemical analysis measures hardness, TDS, nitrates, fluoride, sulphates, chlorides, and toxic heavy metals including lead, mercury, arsenic, and chromium.
